A Thought on Evoking Emotion Through the Art of Costume Design =Un Pensamiento Sobre la Evocación de la Emoción a Través del Arte del Diseño de Vestuari

This thesis resides in the conception of design through the collaborative process between designer and choreographer/artistic director. While supporting the intention of the choreography, this thesis describes how choices are decided through costume design in attempts to evoke emotion from spectators. A reflective conclusion, also included in this document, provides a sense of support of the initial thesis as more studies need to be conducted. It is my objective to address a need for these studies to occur as a highly supportive element for the artistic community to thrive in American culture.
