Abstract/Summary:
A self-consistent drift-diffusion Poisson solver has been developed to calculate the current in a diamond nanowire (NW). A set of linear equations are obtained by 3-D discretization of the above mentioned equations. These equations are solved consistently until the defined criteria for convergence is reached. Ohmic contacts are assumed. Result show that with increase in applied voltage at the contacts, current flowing through the diamond NW increases linearly.
