This thesis provides a study of the methods which are applied in engineering project planning from the viewpoint of risk analysis and risk management.; On the basis of introducing the general theory and methods of project risk analysis and risk management, this thesis dwells on the quantitative analysis of project risk in detail. There are many methods currently applied in the risk analysis phase and the risk management phase. The author introduces some commonly-used methods such as Checklists and Networking (PERT, Monte Carlo Simulation).; In today's quantitative world, qualitative management is not good enough. Towards this point, the author focuses on quantitative analysis and decision-making. In this thesis, a conditional probability method based on risk estimation is studied. Due to the interaction among risks, this estimation gives more accurate results. In addition, the author derives a mathematical model of decision-making based on quantitative risk analysis, which is used to optimize a multi-event risk management problem. In general, this thesis gives readers the outline of processing risk and some countermeasures to deal with risk.
