Abstract/Summary:
In the area of power line conditioning at the input mains and the output load, the necessity of power quality is crucial in power electronics. To enhance the quality of power, various equipment is used such as transient suppressors, active filters, line voltage regulators, and hybrid filters. The main drawback of rising the non-sinusoidal current into the power network is due to the continuous generation of electronic equipment either for industrial use or home appliances. Thus, this leads to the rapid growth in the demand for the economic power conditioners for single-phase systems. To solve the difficulties of harmonics in electric grids, various remission solutions are proposed and adopted in practice applications. In recent years, the use of active filtering techniques has become more popular due to the technological development in power electronic switching devices, enhanced numerical methods, and more efficient control algorithms.
