Wireless voice activated environmental control system

Voice recognition is the wave of the future and is the basis on which this project is founded. This project was developed for severely handicapped individuals who are completely dependent on others. It enhances the quality of life by providing a level of independence that could not be reached otherwise.;The Voice Activated Environmental Control System integrates several types of software and hardware to convert voiced commands to digital signals that perform a function. The functions used as examples in this thesis are turning lights and other appliances on and off using voice commands. Commands such as "Kitchen light on" and "Bathroom fan off" will turn that light on or fan off.
