Abstract/Summary:
WINSCRAM, a scranmjet cycle analysis code, was authored through extensive modification of Jeffrey H. Helgeson's HCSCRAM code. HCSCRAM was updated with subroutines from NASA Lewis Research Center's LSENS code to accommodate calculations involving up to 90 species and 450 chemical reactions. Additional LSENS subroutines were used to modify HCSCRAM to model hydrocarbon combustion with a chemical kinetics analysis. Both HCSCRAM and LSENS subroutines were updated from FORTRAN 77 to Compaq Fortran through replacement of obsolete formats, command structures and syntax with modern versions. A graphical user interface (GUI) was incorporated to allow for user input in a Window's environment. Included is a detailed description of all the revisions and additions made to HCSCRAM, a guide to the use of WINSCRAM for a user with no prior exposure to the HCSCRAM or LSENS codes, and illustrative results of WINSCRAM's code verification.
