Over the last few years, it has been observed that the air within homes, schools and other buildings can be seriously polluted leading to harmful health effects on the occupants. Hence it is important to continuously monitor the levels of indoor environment pollutants and take appropriate action in real time, if the levels approach the defined thresholds. This thesis describes the problems in the indoor environment, and proposes a solution to monitor and control such an environment using a Windows CE based Real Time scalable embedded system. |
