This thesis is a part of the project “Real-Time Data Acquisition For Surface Measurement” for TxDOT. This is an automated system where the surface and pavement measurements are collected at high speeds, to form a texture pattern. The goal of this research is to develop a methodology to ensure accurate data acquisition for this system.; Missing data points were observed during the high-speed data collection, thus leading to misinterpreted pavement texture. The A/D board considered in our research is PC 104-DAS16Jr/16 from Computer Board. The performance of this board will be compared with Windows 98 operating system. A detailed working of this board in different tests conditions present will be in the research, there by concluding the reason of missing data values in the data acquisition system. |
