Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this project was to establish a Cooperative Inquiry (CI) to explore how we might expand our personal capacity in the roles we currently play on our campus related to our work with AB540 students. We had five staff members from the same higher education campus who all currently worked with AB540 students in different roles. Together we went through cycles of action and reflection over the course of a ten-week quarter. In each cycle this group relied heavily on journaling through our actions so that all of our reflections could be shared at our next meeting. The majority of our learning came from our personal reflections as well as the shared reflections from the group. Overtime, this group began to have influence on the real time decisions that were occurring on the campus around the campus' next steps to support AB540 students.
