Abstract/Summary: | |
Balance is multi-factorial and is involved in many aspects of daily life. This research study was to analyze two different modes of patient analysis with the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) as rated by Physical Therapists. Three Clinical Models performed the BBS for a group of Live Raters during a taping session. The new video was then edited and used for the video analysis of the same Clinical Models by the second group of Raters. Significant agreement (p < 0.5) was found between the two Rater groups of expert Physical Therapists with ICC = 0.88 for Live Raters, and ICC = 0.86 for Video Raters. This study supports the use of the BBS for video analysis. |
