| This thesis examines good and evil in the novel Fortunata y Jacinta by Benito Perez Galdos. Perez Galdos's life and works are examined as well as the particulars of Galdos' realism. Good and evil are determined in accordance to the epoch of the novel. These two concepts are then revealed through the characters, the social institutions and the realities of Madrid in the nineteenth century. |
