| Recycled materials comprising asphalt and concrete aggregates have been used over a period of time for the rehabilitation of bases and subbases of roadways. Yet each year, a significant quantity of these residual materials is not re-used like granular material.; The principal objective of this study is to develop a control method on-site, of the measurement of moisture content and of the dry density of the recycled materials. In the first phase, the review of literature provides the influential factors on the accuracy of the measurement equipment used. Next, the study allows us to evaluate the spatial distribution of the results of the moisture content and of the dry density obtained on the reference bed. At the same time it specifies the impact of different factors on moisture content measurement using a microwave oven with the aim of eventually using it as a means to calibrate nuclear meters.
