Abstract/Summary:
Weave is a web-based data visualization platform with the goal of analyzing and visualizing data. Weave supports multiple levels of users, and has many advanced data visualizations built in. It became necessary to generate a way to fluidly transition from a set of data visualizations to an interactive presentation of this data, hence the need for report generation within Weave.;This work involved augmenting Weave with a report generation tool. Users have the ability to combine multiple visualizations into one finalized report, along with annotated text, which contains an input for dynamic variables with values that may be updated as a user probes over data points. The report tool was used to display multiple visualizations of a data set containing human genome sequence data. This data set consisted of a Yoruba family trio (Mother/Father/Daughter) with annotations such as genes, phenotypes and variant class used to augment the sequence data.
