| Mobile devices have been in existence for a few years, however in the last couple of years they have started playing a significant role in our personal and professional life. A number of mobile applications and services are already on the market and more are expected to become available in the future. As more demand is placed on mobile devices, it will become critical to properly manage the limited storage, display, and processing power of mobile devices.; The purpose of this thesis is to research mobile computing and the role of mobile databases in mobile computing environments. It aims to identify methodologies for a good mobile database design and will apply these to design a problem-based learning application. |
