Abstract/Summary: | |
The effects on impact and optical properties of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) with the addition of polybutyl acrylate (PBA) core shell impact modifiers having similar refractive indexes were examined.; It was concluded that the impact properties of the PMMA increased with the addition of PBA; and as the difference between the refractive index of the PBA and PMMA increased, the optical transmission decreased. The varying refractive indexes of the PBA also affected the optical properties of the PMMA. |
