Abstract/Summary:
An advanced model of Wind Turbine Generator has been developed in this research. This model is capable of simulating many kinds of Wind Turbine Generators from different manufacturers like NEG Micon, Vestas, Bonus, Nordex and soon. This model has been tested and found to have satisfied with the data got from the real site i.e. predicted behavior is similar to the actual behavior of the machines. This kind of analysis has not been done prior to this research.; With the aid of this model we have made the GDAS (Generalized Distribution Analysis System, ESRS's tool much more powerful). GDAS is now capable of analyzing a distribution system with wind generation (both dispersed and concentrated) and even in an unsymmetrical environment, which helps us predicting the behavior of these machines under various system conditions and helps us in proper design and operation of our system.; Tests have been done using this model on a few sample distribution systems including wind generation under different system conditions and the results have been analyzed.
