| This study's purpose is to determine whether a security force or a police department would be most effective for a university campus. For this study, effectiveness will be defined as improving services, reducing crime or fear of crime, and improving customer satisfaction with services. To accumulate data to assist in the analysis process, surveys were used to query students and faculty staff from Missouri Southern State University, and a second survey was used to query law enforcement administrators from universities across the country from campuses that are as similar as possible demographically to Missouri Southern State University. This study explores which system of protecting university campuses works best for Missouri Southern State University. |
