Southern Region Of The University Campus Wetland Landscape Design

Nowadays, there is a heated discussion about Campus Extensity Form and Landscape Design in China and numerous articles are being issued every year. Works and theses, most of which are associated with Campus Landscape Design or Intercourse Extensity, are written in terms of macroscopic, however, part of which are referred to the Campus Hydro-scene Construction, few yet gives a deep touch on the Campus Wetlands System, much less on the research into campus wetlands in the southern part of Fukien Province. It's an era when eco-environment is getting worse, higher education ideologies are altered and environment inner or outer schoolyard is changing, the campus eco-environment construction is thereby thrown upon with concerns. Construction of campus wetlands in the southern part of Fukien Province is just now within this hotspot as well. In my text, researches will be given to the landscape design of campus wetlands in the southern part of Fukien Province, aiming at offering theoretically guidance for rational campus wetlands construction.This thesis is based on ecological, aesthetic and protecting principles which are close to wetlands and on features of university students'psychology and behavior. And I picked out Xiamen University and its Zhangzhou campus, Huaqiao University and its Xiamen campus, Jimei University and Yangen University as the representatives to do field investigation, survey teachers and students and interview the related sections and people. Hence, I analyze the factors which have effects on the campus wetlands in the southern part of Fukien Province and summarize the present extensity design and fundamental elements of the above mentioned, in an effort to explore more design theories and methods for campus wetlands so as to suit with regional features, life styles, ideologies and the times. I hope it can be of certain conduct and reference for the landscape design of campus wetlands which may under reconstruction, extension or construction in the southern part of Fukien in the future.
