| The current study investigated how media choice relates to a range of factors in Taiwanese and Chinese international students' long-distance romantic relationships (LDRRs), including frequency of face-to-face (FtF) interaction and gender. Additionally, the study considered the relationships among media choice, relational idealization, and relational intimacy/satisfaction. 62 Taiwanese and Chinese international students participated in this study and finished an online survey. Positive correlations were found among perceived relational satisfaction, intimacy and idealization. Results for analyses examining media choice and nature of the relationship were not significant, and no significant gender differences in media choice were found.
