Abstract/Summary:
This study is to examine the influence of media reports and attitudes on American and Chinese college students' perception of each other. Positive relationships were found both between media frames and Chinese participants and between media frames and American participants. This indicated that the longer time students use media, the more likely they agree with media frames. The frequency results showed that more Chinese students agreed with media frames than Americans, which indicated that Americans' perceptions of China are less likely to be influenced by media than Chinese' perceptions of America. More studies need to be done in the future research.
