| This abstract contains essentially, the summary for the thesis presented to the Foreign Languages and Literatures Department for the Master in Spanish. The thesis has three components. The first part contains the reflections in relation to the experiences acquired through the translation's pedagogical learning process, the obstacles encountered with the translation's production, such as: grammatical, linguistics, semantics, and syntactic factors; for example, the Spanish gerund and its different forms and its equivalents in English; the Spanish and English passive voice; the idiomatic differences between both langauages; the punctuation; and the grammatical stucture of both languages. The second part is the critical analysis of the Howard Mancing's translated article "Cervantes as Narrator of Don Quijote", with emphasis on the readers' benefits as he/she will discover that Cervantes is the Narrator and the historical creator of the novel " Don Quijote de la Mancha". The third part is the tranlation from English to Spanish of Mancing's article "Cervantes as Narrator of Don Quijote". |
