The study of the Thesis bases on three novels and a collection of short storieswhich created by Cervantes. Combing through400years of academic history abroadCervantes, the author presents the question: wander as a common pattern of behaviorin Cervantes’s novels, how did the author write it? what is the meaning of it? howabout the impact of the fiction characters and story mode? Thesis mainly taken theform of social and historical criticism and criticism method by text reading novels onCervantes’s characters wandering the form, content to explore, and summed up thestray Cervantes writing, not only expanded the homeless population while Youyirealistic strokes reconstructed knight novels, with a noble theme sublimatedpicaresque novel.Thesis introduction part of academic history by combing Cervantes, pointing outover the years on the research of Cervantes such characteristics, that "Don Quixote"as the main research object, characters and creative teleology as basic entry points.The first chapter on Cervantes novel morphology were wandering summarizing andclassifying that Cervantes stray characters in the novel, there are three basic forms:emotional wandering, wandering and national hero wandering. The second chapter todiachronic and synchronic two dimensions, Cervantes novel explores the wanderinghas the history and symbolic meaning, that Cervantes novel wandering, both on thetime of Spain and the European social outlook and the reality of the performanceissues, but also reflects the author’s own ethical aspirations and spiritual pursuit. Thethird chapter focuses on the writing of Cervantes’ wandering in Europe fictional mode,story mode, and concluded that this behavior Cervantes wandering through thecompletion of the shaping of character and relationships, and the completion of thechivalric romance reactionary and picaresque novel sublimation. Concluded that:Cervantes novel portrayed its wandering, and promote the development of plot, thememeans of expression; and on this basis, the integration of Cervantes novel fictionalknight and the realism of the picaresque novel and thus the development of themodern novel has contributed.
