| Chinese automobile market is big with production and sales.Since China joined the World Trade Organization at the end of 2001,the domestic automobile industry has experienced rapid development,under the strong support of the government and good environment.Starting in 2002,the following ten years have grown at an average annual growth rate of 26%.Prior to 2016,it has maintained a momentum of rapid development.By 2017,growth began to show signs of weakness.Although China’s auto industry continued to rank first in the world in 2018,its market sales and growth rate faced to the first negative growth in 28 years,and the Chinese automotive market has entered a downturn.The sales volume for the whole year of 2019 decreased by 9.6% compared with the previous year.In 2020,the entire industry will spend the cold winter,and various auto manufacturers(hereinafter referred to as "OEM")are facing tremendous pressure from a decline in sales.Automotive manufacturing suppliers(hereinafter referred to as "suppliers")are also facing challenges in the process of product development(product planning,product design,production line construction and mass production).One of them is the complex production line locating problem.As the research object of this article,E company,its existing nearby-locatingmethod of new production line has been proved to be less economical and does not consider the long-term potential risks caused by regional factors.This article aims to review the existing theory,and then proposes a systematic and comprehensive locating method for E company on its D cooling module production line.It includes the site selection process,the set of influencing factors,and the decision-making method.Based on this location method,E company can obtain results that are more in line with the actual needs,in its investment decision of production lines.In the process of site selection,E company can specifically select factors related of each new production line from the set of factors.It can also determine the degree of influence of each factor through calculation and analysis,and finally use AHP to make decision on production site selection.This line locating method can also be extended to the other new production lines of E company.At the same time,it can also serve as a reference for companies of the same type with large initial investment and long payback periods like E company.It can help this kind of auto parts suppliers to obtain higher returns in the process of new project investment,and at the same time to avoid potential risks. |
