With the acceleration of China’s industrialization and urbanization process,the development of agriculture has gradually changed from traditional extensive agriculture to modern intensive agriculture.The problems of land fragmentation,decentralized management,and single industrial layout under the Household Responsibility System have become increasingly serious.Large-scale farmland transfer is regarded as the prerequisite for the development of scaled-up agriculture production and agricultural industry layout.In severely degraded and ecologically fragile areas,the natural resources and ecological environment have a profound impact on the use and allocation of regional farmland.However,few studies have considered the suitability evaluation of large‐scale farmland transfer and its impact on the layout of agricultural industry.In this study,with Zichang City chosen as the study area,the connotation of the suitability of large-scale farmland transfer is put forward,and the suitability of the comprehensive quality and landscape connectivity for large‐scale farmland transfer in Zichang City are explored.The four quadrant method and GIS spatial analysis method are adopted.Secondly,we discuss the internal logic of large-scale farmland transfer and agricultural industry layout.The third part is the systematic analysis of the characteristics of current the agricultural industry development by combining the descriptive statistical analysis and case study research.Finally,the optimization of the agricultural industry layout is discussed under the coordination of the suitability of large-scale farmland transfer,the status of agricultural industry layout and regional planning about agricultural industry development,etc.The results are as follows:(1)Farmland transfer is a fundamental and active way to reallocate regional land resources.The suitability of large-scale farmland transfer can guide the types of regional agricultural production and management,the concentration degree of resource elements,and then determine the agricultural industrial layout mode by influencing the types and spatial distribution patterns of land use.(2)Three suitable land use types for large-scale farmland transfer are classified: farmland suitable for arable land transfer,farmland suitable for garden land transfer,and farmland suitable for grassland and woodland transfer.Approximately 53%(14 211 ha)of farmland distributed in eastern and midwestern Zichang are classified as suitable for large‐scale arable land transfer;39%(10 261 ha)concentrated in the northwestern gully zones are suitable for large‐scale garden land transfer;and 8%(1993 ha)mainly located in the north‐central and southwestern parts are suitable for grassland and woodland transfer.(3)With respect to the overall situation of the development of agricultural industry,the planting and animal husbandry in Zichang are relatively developed.In terms of spatial distribution,the agricultural layout has been formed: the important grain and vegetable production areas in central Xiuyan River basin,the ecological fruit forestry in the northwest and the animal husbandry in the middle and south of Zichang.However,there are still some problems needed to be solved,such as the unbalanced development of regional space,the weak radiation of the central regional agricultural industry and the lack of a unified regional division system.(4)Four agricultural distribution areas can be divided based on the suitability for largescale farmland transfer: high-efficiency fruit and vegetable development zone,characteristic grain and horticulture development zone,ecological planting and breeding development zone,and green forestry and animal husbandry development zone.Among them,the high-efficiency fruit and vegetable development zone is distributed in the southeast of Zichang City,including Yangjiajiaze town,Majiabian town and Yujiawan town with total area of 13778.33 ha.The future industrial layout should focus on the development of greenhouse vegetables,mushroom production,red dates,apples and other characteristic fruit industries.The characteristic grain and horticultural development zone are located in the northwest of Zichang City with total farmland area of 9673.03 ha.Integrating grain production and characteristic horticulture can be developed in the future.The ecological planting and breeding development zone is distributed in Jianyucha town and Nangou town with farmland area of 8497.02 ha.In the future agricultural industrial layout,integrating fruit forestry and ecological breeding with high economic benefits are suggested.Green forestry and animal husbandry development zone is located in Wayaobao town and Yujiaping town.In the future agricultural industrial layout in this region,it can build an agricultural industry with animal husbandry as the main industry and characteristic fruit production as the auxiliary.Based on the above conclusions,this paper put forward suggestions for the future agricultural development in Zichang City from two aspects.In terms of the large-scale farmland transfer,it is necessary to guide the centralized transfer,establish a perfect farmland transfer market mechanism and special subsidy for large-scale farmland transfer,and coordinate the comprehensive management of agricultural land.In terms of the layout of agricultural industry,market-oriented and sustainable layout of agricultural industry should be established,and the improvement of management ability and technology adoption should be proposed as well. |
