Competition is an important part of the market economy mechanism.Competition between banks has promoted the soundness and perfection of the banking system and has played a vital role in the rapid development of the banking industry.With the acceleration of the commercialization of state-owned banks,the rise of various emerging banks,and the openness of the banking industry,competition in the banking industry will become increasingly fierce.It is of great practical significance to understand the market background of interbank competition and grasp the current competitive landscape of the banking industry in order to formulate competition strategies.This article mainly adopts the methods of comparative analysis,literature analysis,descriptive analysis and interview analysis to analyze the problems and shortcomings of Nanchang branch of GS bank's competitiveness in the current market.Through the analysis in the aspects of industrial scale,industrial profitability,channel brand,innovative ability,risk control,etc.,the existing problems and their causes are deeply analyzed.At the same time,this article suggests corresponding optimization ideas and strategies according to the current operating status of the bank.This article is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which expounds the significance and background of this topic,gives a brief overview of the research on competitiveness of domestic and foreign commercial banks,introduces the research ideas,content and framework of this article and introduces the research methods of this article.The second part is an overview of the theory,which introduces the origin,connotation and characteristics of competitiveness,the role that competitiveness plays in modern commercial banks and relevant theoretical basis.The third part is an analysis of current situation of Nanchang branch of GS bank.By introducing the development history of Nanchang branch of GS bank,the current competitive factors of Nanchang branch of GS bank are briefly analyzed.The fourth part is an analysis of advantages and disadvantages of Nanchang branch of GS bank in market competition.It mainly compares and analyzes the competitive advantages of Nanchang branch of GS bank in four aspects,which are market share,profitability,channel brand and risk control.It also analyzes the competitive disadvantages of Nanchang branch of GS bank from profit growth momentum,operating management,customer maintenance depth and pace of innovation.At the same time,this part also analyzes the causes of disadvantages from the five aspects of operation transformation,business operation structure,business development potential,organization cost management and people ware.The fifth part is measures to improve the competitiveness of Nanchang branch of GS bank.Combining the current status and challenges of Nanchang branch of GS bank,this article proposes strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Nanchang branch of GS bank.The sixth part is the conclusion and future prospects,comprehensive and summary of the full article.Research shows that Nanchang branch of GS bank mainly has the following problems on competitiveness.First,profit growth momentum is weak.Second,the management is rather extensive.Third,customer maintenance lack of depth.Fourth,the pace of innovation is lagging behind.The main reasons are:(1)the speed of business transformation is now in a bottleneck;(2)the business operation structure is simple;(3)its business development potential is not fully tapped;(4)lack of vitality in organizational cost management;(5)the quality of personnel needs to be improved.For all the above reasons,it is recommended by optimize the promotion of competitiveness through the cultivation and evolution of the best path in line with its own resource endowment.In general,its competitiveness is to be optimized from various aspects based on the current development pressure and the new situation the bank faced with,giving play to its traditional advantages,and analysis of the current opportunities and challenges.First,accelerate business transformation;Second,deepen business development;Third,increase operating efficiency.Fourth,improve operating efficiency;Fifth,prevent and control business risks.With the in-depth development and potential release of the "new economy",Nanchang branch of GS bank can optimize and improve its competitiveness to achieve sustainable business development,integrate into the current increasingly fierce market competition environment at a faster speed,and more successfully achieve the future strategy and business objectives of the whole bank.
