Since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan",China’s express parcel volume has increased at a rate of 10 billion pieces per year,and by the end of 2019,the national express mail service volume has exceeded 60 billion pieces.At present,China has become the fastest growing and most dynamic emerging delivery market in the world.The rapid development of Internet technology has promoted the rapid growth of the scale of the express logistics industry.For logistics companies,relying solely on the continuous growth of the industry’s scale is not a long-term solution.If they want to gain a foothold in the market and gradually improve their competitiveness,they must improve the efficiency of express delivery.Among them,the logistics network layout and transfer center are indispensable part.At present,there are two main problems in the logistics network construction of various express delivery companies: on the one hand,the unreasonable location of the transshipment center causes the synergy effect between the hubs,and some hubs have homogeneous competition and low-level repeated construction and cannot be carried out.Multimodal transport;on the other hand,the transfer center has low transfer efficiency,and the shipments have been delayed for a long time during the sorting process,which has led to a higher proportion of consumers complaining about delays,shortages,and delivery services.Therefore,this article takes SF company as the research object to explore how to select the location of the transfer center and the distribution of network paths.At the same time,it proposes improvement measures for the internal operation process of the transfer center to provide solutions for enhancing the competitive advantage of the company in the express market.Firstly,this paper comprehensively summarizes the related research at home and abroad from two aspects of the axle-spoke logistics network and the operation process of the transfer center,which lays the foundation for the theoretical research of the paper.Then,the general situation of SF company is described,the classification and connection status of SF company’s transfer center is analyzed,and the SF Wuxi transfer center is selected as the object.The overall operation process and sorting operation process are analyzed,and SF is summarized Various problems in network construction.Secondly,this paper optimizes the location of the SF company’s transfer center network.The total network cost of SF company is divided into transportation cost,route cost and fixed cost at the junction point,and a single distribution pure axle-spoke logistics network model with minimum total cost is constructed.Then use Matlab software to solve the optimal transfer center location and route allocation using particle swarm algorithm,compare it with traditional point-to-point network,SF’s existing logistics and transportation network,and analyze the number of different hub points and discount coefficients on the network.The results show that:(1)compared with the traditional point-to-point model,the axle-spoke logistics network model can save costs by 1.89%,and the transportation route is simple and easy to manage;(2)the optimized logistics network and the existing SF company Compared with the network layout,the new regional distribution centers are located in Huai’an,Zhenjiang,and Changzhou,and the total cost has decreased by 7.7%;(3)The total cost in the model will first decrease and then increase with the increase of the pivot point,showing a U The number of optimal pivot points is 3;(4)The discount coefficient is positively related to the network cost.The smaller the discount coefficient,the smaller the total network cost.Finally,this paper makes an optimization study on the operation process of the SF company’s transfer center.Based on the collection of the SF Wuxi City Transit Center’s shipments and sorting operations,Flexsim simulation was performed.The simulation of the existing center process found that there was a long total running time,and the shipments in the sorting conveyor were prone to blockages.The sorter’s sorting efficiency is low.On this basis,the sorting process and the layout of the sorting line were optimized,and the optimized logistics center process was simulated.The results showed that:(1)the optimized logistics center’s total operating time was reduced by 13.4 %;(2)The jam of the sorting belt after the optimization has been alleviated,and the average capacity and dwell time have decreased correspondingly,which are 79.6% and 70.3%,respectively;(3)the work efficiency of the sorter has been improved accordingly,Can effectively alleviate the pressure during peak periods;even after reducing the number of two contractors,the construction can be effectively carried out,thereby reducing the cost of human resources.This article contains 36 pictures,21 tables,and 70 references...
