State Tobacco Monopoly Administration is promoting market-oriented reform of the tobacco industry, in order to suffice the tobacco market more quickly and fully. It is necessary to establish a sound scientific management system and a reasonable tobacco logistics network, if each tobacco industry company wants to gain a competitive advantage in the market. The tobacco logistics management of A tobacco industry company does not adequately meet the requirements of market-oriented reforms. The troubles are tobacco logistics network not perfect, lack of effective integration of tobacco logistics, wastes more logistics resources and high cost of distribution. Thus, A tobacco industry company must improve its logistics network urgently.This thesis studies that the optimization objectives, principles and the establishment of regional distribution centers to improve network structure of A tobacco industry company, and later optimizes the operation mode of new network. Through analysis of existing data, and consider tobacco's traffic and flow, this thesis proposed matching plan with RDC location. And then designs the workflows of RDC. This paper established an optimization model of tobacco distribution route and developed the corresponding algorithm. Before the RDCs are completed, the model and the corresponding algorithm can help meet the market demands more efficiently and reduce logistics costs. By optimizing the logistics network and implementing scientific management and standardized operation, A tobacco industry company can improve its core competitiveness and management level.
