Research On The Location Of Gathering Center In Network Environment

With the rapid development of economy and constant improvement of people’s living standard in recent years, enterprises and customers’demands tend to grow in a diversified way. Meanwhile, E-commerce develops dramatically. Therefore, logistics in current society has been paid highly attention and plays a key role in the development of the society. Logistics center location, as an important part of logistics system, has a direct effect on the efficiency of the whole logistics system’s performance, and also has further influences the enhancement of economy.Current studies of logistics center location focus on the formulation of models and the improvement of algorithm. However, the formulation of models, only based on the problems in the ideal situation in theory, doesn’t consider issues on center location in realistic situation. Few studies focus on solving realistic problems with traditional logistics location models. Therefore, it is both theoretically and practically significant to study the location of logistics centers with new cases in practical situation.This thesis focuses on the study of two types of location selections. One is the urban distribution center location, which plays an important role in various distributions in cities. The other is about the location selection of warehouses storing supplies for responding to emergent events. The author first describes relative theories including categories, models and methods of location selection as well as the concept of emergency logistics. Then this study analyzes the role of urban distribution centers in urban logistics, the influence and function of urban distribution centers and the role of emergency goods in disaster relief. Besides, location selection model of urban distribution centers is formulated with the goal of achieving maximal effectiveness. The location selection model of warehouse for emergency goods is also established based on maximal covering model to achieve highest satisfaction degree. Finally, relative models are calculated and analyzed. Therefore, several meaningful conclusions are presented.In the end, the thesis summarizes this whole study and puts forward the outlook of the study in the future.
