Land carrying capacity is a scientific basis for measuring the degree of coordination between land resources carrying capacity and regional economic and social development.It is also an important foundation and constraint for guiding the development and improvement of land space,improving regional space governance capabilities and modernizing the governance system.Therefore,the research on land carrying capacity has always been one of the hot issues explored by academia and government agencies.Especially after the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee further clarified the basic and restrictive role of the resources and environment carrying capacity on strengthening the construction of ecological civilization.The publication of the "Guidelines for the Evaluation of the Carrying Capacity of Resources and Environment and the Suitability of Land and Space Development(for Trial Implementation)" emphasizes the importance of regional land carrying capacity to the preparation of land and space planning.China is a big mountainous country in the world,and the mountain areas(including plateaus,mountains and hills)accounts for about 69% of the country's land area.As a typical representative of mountainous areas in China,Yunnan accounts for 94% of the area.The vertical zonality and altitude gradient of mountainous areas are obvious,which profoundly affect the development of regional land resources,the spatial distribution of population and the development of socio-economic.Improving land carrying capacity and optimizing land resource development are important foundations for improving land use efficiency and achieving sustainable development in Yunnan mountainous area.This thesis starts with a comprehensive view of geography and uses Yunnan as a research carrier.Based on a review of domestic and foreign research status,this paper attempts to propose and define the connotation and extension of land gradient carrying capacity in view of the characteristics of mountainous areas with obvious vertical zonation and elevation gradients in Yunnan.Constructing an evaluation index system of land gradient carrying capacity,screening methodologies based on geographic analysis system(GIS)spatial analysis,and deeply analyzing the spatial differentiation characteristics of land gradient carrying capacity in Yunnan mountainous area.And analyzing the factors of impact on land gradients carrying capacity,exploring the types of land optimization and countermeasures,with a view to providing a useful attempt of regional theory and practice to improve the carrying capacity of land resources in Yunnan mountainous area and promoting the coordinated development of mountainous human-land systems.The specific research content is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly expounds the research background and significance of the thesis,explains the research methods and technical routes,and briefly describes the research content and innovations.The second chapter is a review of domestic and foreign research.It mainly sorts out related theoretical studies on land carrying capacity and of land optimization at home and abroad,analyzes the logical relationship between carrying capacity,land carrying capacity,and comprehensive land carrying capacity.Based on this,we attempt to propose and define the connotation and Extension,and from the perspective of geography,the internal relationship between land gradient carrying capacity evaluation and land development space optimization is discussed to lay the theoretical foundation for this research.The third chapter is the basic environmental characteristics of Yunnan mountainous areas.This paper analyze and summarize the basic environmental characteristics of Yunnan Province from three aspects: natural resources and environment,economic and social development,and land use status,to provide an objective basis for scientific and reasonable screening and construction of a land gradient carrying capacity evaluation method system.The fourth chapter is the spatial differentiation of land gradient carrying capacity in Yunnan mountainous area.Based on the existing research results,according to the characteristics of mountainous areas with obvious vertical zonation and elevation gradients in Yunnan,a comprehensive evaluation index system and method for Yunnan 's land gradient carrying capacity is selected and constructed,and quantitative and qualitative analysis of land gradient carrying capacity in mountainous areas Spatial differentiation characteristics,analysis of factors affecting the land gradient bearing capacity.The fifth chapter is the characteristics of the types of land optimization in Yunnan mountainous area.Taking the land optimization as the goal,based on the land gradient carrying capacity evaluation results,using the spatial analysis method mainly based on the geographic information system(GIS)to analyze and propose the land optimization types of 129 counties(urban areas)in Yunnan.The sixth chapter proposes countermeasures for the optimization of land development in Yunnan mountainous area.Combining the characteristics of the spatial differentiation of land gradient carrying capacity and the type of land optimization,this paper proposes countermeasures for land optimization in Yunnan mountainous area.The seventh chapter is the research conclusion and prospect.Summarize the main conclusions of the study,explain the deficiencies and subsequent improvements,and look forward to further research in the future.
