Research On The Impact Of Information Technology On The Transformation And Upgrading Of China’s Manufacturing Industry

After 40 years of rapid economic development,China has become a leading manufacturing country in the world in terms of the scale of manufacturing development.China has 41 major categories,207 medium categories and 666 small categories according to the United Nations Industrial Classification standard.However,in the period of economic growth speed shift and economic structure adjustment,the development of manufacturing industry in China is facing such problems as the gradual disappearance of demographic dividend,the pressure of environmental protection,and the difficulty of financing.The transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry are imminent.At the same time,in the new era,modern information technology represented by big data,cloud computing,the Internet of things and mobile Internet is constantly applied in all walks of life.Advanced production technology is applied to all walks of life,promoting industrial upgrading and leading innovation and development.Developed countries have issued policies to support the development of high-tech manufacturing.Therefore,this paper focuses on the impact of information technology on the transformation and upgrading of China’s manufacturing industry.Considering the spatial correlation of industrial development among regions in China and the spillover of regional indicators,this paper takes the geographic location information of provinces and cities into account,constructs the different matrixes which reflect the geographic economic information,and selects the spatial econometric model to do this research.This paper uses the Spatial Dubin Model,selects the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2002 to 2016,and conducts empirical research.The results show that the Moran index,which measures the spatial correlation among provinces in China,has passed the significance test,indicating that the spatial effect does exist and the Spatial Dubin Model is reasonable.And the development of information technology in the whole country has a significant role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.China should continue to promote the development of the information industry,promote the innovation and development of the "Internet + manufacturing industry",and integrate information technology into every link of manufacturing industry,so as to improve the added value of manufacturing products and improve the position of China’s manufacturing industry in the international industrial chain.The whole society’s fixed asset investment plays a significant role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of regional manufacturing industry,but the role is very small,which indicates that the investment in infrastructure construction in China should be in line with the adjustment of industrial structure in the new era.The general budget expenditure of local finance and the added value of financial industry have adverse effects on the transformation and upgrading of regional manufacturing industry,which indicates that the local government should not blindly intervene in the market mechanism,and should increase efforts to ensure basic research work efficient.At the same time,China’s financial market should continue to standardize the reform,financial resources should be inclined to the substantial economy,to avoid China’s economy from the real to the virtual.In addition,in view of the weak role of FDI in promoting the development of regional manufacturing industry,it is necessary to identify the quality of FDI in manufacturing industry.We should further improve the regional division of labor,adjust measures to local conditions,improve the level of industrial rationalization,respect the law of economic operation,and promote the evolution of manufacturing industry to a new level.Eastern,central and western regions should further improve the regional division of work adapt to local conditions,make regional industries more reasonable,and respect the law of economic operation,so as to promote the evolution of manufacturing industry to a new level.
