China currently has access to important times of economic restructuring and industrial upgrading. The migrant workers team developed with reform and opening has also entered a critical period of intergenerational replacement.Taking 1980 as the boundary, this article divides migrant workers into older generations and new generations.Due to the different birth ages and growth background, the older generation of migrant workers and the new generation of migrant workers have obvious differences in terms of values, employment choices, and willingness to develop. In this context, studying the intergenerational differences in the life satisfaction of migrant workers and its influencing factors will not only help to grasp the development trend of migrant workers' living status in a timely manner, providing theoretical basis for improving life satisfaction, but help to provid practical experience for promoting China's economy transformation and industrial upgrading and accelerating the pace of urbanization. As the core of the Yangtze River Delta economic circle,Hangzhou is the city where the migrant workers feel “the happiest”.So,it is representative that taking Hangzhou as an example to study migrant workers' life satisfactions. The author conducted a questionnaire survey of migrant workers in Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone from April to May 2019.According to the sample data of the survey, the characteristics of the two generations of migrant workers are describes of the growth background, individual characteristics, employment status, family life, living environment, urban integration, and development willingness. And chi-square test,Fisher exact test, and independent samples T-test and other methods are used to test the intergenerational differences of the above characteristics. On the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research,a life satisfaction evaluation index system for migrant workers including one first-level indicator, six second-level indicators, and 25 third-level indicators was established. When establishing the indicator system, firstly use exploratory factor analysis to classify 25 observation indicators into 6 categories, and then use the structural equation model to verify the classification of the observation indicators and the influence paths between the secondary indicators, and finally use the combined weighting method to determine each The weight of the level indicator.Based on the above index system, the current situation of life satisfaction of migrant workers in Hangzhou is described, and independent sample T test and kernel density estimation are used to test whether there is a significant difference in life satisfaction between the two generations of migrant workers. When analyzing the influencing factors of life satisfaction of migrant workers, first build up a ologit model to find the significant influencing factors, and then use Oaxaca-Blinder method to explore the causes of intergenerational differences in life satisfaction of migrant workers;Subsequently, the factors that caused significant intergenerational differences were included as independent variables in the quantile regression model, and the impacts of the above variables on the two generations of migrant workers were analyzed at the 0.2,0.4,0.6,and 0.8 quantile points;finally, the support vector machine model was used to predict the life satisfaction of the two generations of migrant workers respectively,so as to verify the rationality of the above research. Finally, summarizes the full text based on the above analysis, and proposes policies to improve the living conditions of migrant workers and improve their life satisfaction. The results show that: 1.The new generation of migrant workers and the older generation of migrant workers show significant differences in terms of growth background, employment status, family life, living environment, urban integration and willingness to develop.2.The life satisfaction of the new generation of migrant workers is higher than that of the older generation of migrant workers. From a specific perspective, the new generation of migrant workers are more satisfied with the labor environment, social environment, housing security and future expectations than the older generations, and the policy participation satisfaction and health and family satisfaction are lower than the older generations.3.Factors that cause significant intergenerational differences in life satisfaction of migrant workers are: source area, religious support, marital status, physical condition, agricultural labor experience, status of family separation, job search, security protection, urban housing type, per capita living area, monthly rent, degree of love for the city, willingness to buy a house, willingness to stay in the city, etc. The main contributions of this paper are: 1.From the perspective of intergenerational perspectives, the growth background is taken as one of the influencing factors, and the causes of intergenerational differences in the life satisfaction of migrant workers are empirically explored, and they strive to be innovative.2.Establish a more comprehensive life satisfaction index system for migrant workers from aspects such as physical and mental health, family relationships, social environment, working environment, policy participation, and future expectations, and strive to make breakthroughs.3.Through empirical research, establish a relatively complete life satisfaction index system for migrant workers, and use a combination of statistical methods and machine learning methods to determine index weights and strive to expand.
