| In recent years,the growth rate of China's international trade has been steadily rising,especially with the rapid growth of demand for imported products under the upgrading of China's consumption,along with the vigorous implementation of the belt and road policy and the landing of the related policies of the FTA,the import of frozen meat,aquatic products,snack foods,grain and oil seasoning and other consumer goods imports increased significantly.In the imported beef industry,the beef import volume of our country has been increasing year by year,breaking through the 1 million tons mark in 2018,and the market prospects are broad.With the rapid growth of beef imports and the increasingly fierce competition environment in the domestic market,importing enterprises are under great pressure to survive.They have to benefit from their own management level,especially attaching importance to inventory management.They have tried new inventory management mode in order to have new opportunities and development.In the process of supply chain development,the overall competitiveness of supply chain is particularly important.In the supply chain of imported beef,the instability of terminal demand will magnify step by step,resulting in "bullwhip effect",which greatly increases the difficulty of inventory control of imported beef in the upstream of the supply chain.Therefore,how to effectively control the stock of frozen imported beef is of great practical significance for improving the operation efficiency of the imported beef supply chain and adapting to the rapidly changing market supply and demand.This paper is based on H company,a small and medium-sized private circulation enterprise,to describe and analyze in detail the problems of the supply chain internal information communication is not smooth,the purchase mode of imported beef is single,the inventory cost is too high,the supply is out of stock from time to time,the warehouse often bursts and so on.On the basis of fully investigating H company's existing market demand forecasting mechanism and supply chain process,this paper intends to analyze the main reasons for its imported beef inventory management problems from the aspects of low accuracy of demand forecasting,long procurement lead time,and poor upstream and downstream information.Considering the characteristics of H company's supply chain and H company's own conditions,this paper finds that Vendor Management Inventory(VMI)can improve H company's imported beef inventory management.According to H company's future development strategy and based on VMI inventory management method,this topic intends to analyze the feasibility and effect of implementing VMI inventory management in H food company.By establishing a suitable VMI cooperation relationship with foreign suppliers,the overall inventory situation of the supply chain is integrated,the inventory turnover rate is effectively improved,the inventory level is reduced,and the sales scale is improved.By strengthening the strategic cooperation with downstream customers,the demand forecasting method has been changed,the forecasting accuracy of H company has been improved,and the stability of supply has been guaranteed.Through the strategic agreement with downstream customers,VMI security warehouse is set up,which avoids the occurrence of shortage or explosion,and shortens the procurement lead time.This paper analyses and compares the relevant data of the implementation of VMI in H company during the past five months,and concludes that the implementation of VMI at this stage has greatly improved the inventory management level of H company,promoted the rapid development of H company,improved the service level of the enterprise,enhanced the competitiveness of the whole supply chain,and has a certain reference significance for similar enterprises. |
