Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's agricultural development has achieved good results.However,the current development of China's agriculture is still far behind that of developed countries in terms of development benefits and development speed.The experience of modern agricultural development in the world shows that large-scale management is the only way for the development of modern agriculture.However,factors such as small per capita arable land area and differences in natural resource conditions in various regions have made it difficult for China to achieve large-scale management in the short term.Therefore,the operation of small farmers is still the main mode of operation in China.Only by realizing the modernization of small farmers will the road of modern agricultural development in China be smooth.The central government attaches great importance to the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture.In February 2019,"Opinions on Promoting the Organic Connection of Small Farmers and Modern Agriculture" proposed to recognize China's national conditions and agricultural conditions,face the role and status of small farmers,and accelerate development and support.Small farmers,as early as possible,realize the connection with modern agriculture.Supply and marketing cooperatives play a bridge role in the communication between the government and farmers,and have a very deep foundation for serving agriculture.Supply and marketing cooperatives actively respond to the "Opinions" issued by the China State Council Office,which is of great significance to the research of the supply and marketing cooperatives to promote the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture.This article uses a combination of theory and empirical methods to explore the countermeasures of supply and marketing cooperatives to promote the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture.Firstly,it analyzes the current situation of small farmers,mainly using the statistical analysis method to analyze the current situation of small farmers from the aspects of the number of small farmers,the area of cultivated land,the quality of personnel,the purchase of agricultural production materials and the way of selling agricultural products.Difficulties,the problems faced by small farmers can be summarized in five aspects:low degree of organization of small farmers,limited capacity for moderate scale operations,conservative production and management concepts,weak ability to avoidrisks,and difficulty in financing.Then use the SWOT analysis method to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of the supply and marketing cooperatives to promote the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture.Through the SWOT matrix,four strategies can be obtained,namely growth strategy,multiple management strategies,reverse strategy and defensive strategy,using AHP-SWOT model for strategy analysis.The empirical model results show that the four strategy weights are the growth strategies.Therefore,supply and marketing cooperatives should take measures to seize development opportunities and give full play to their own advantages when promoting small farmers 'organic integration with modern agriculture.In this paper,three cases are used to analyze how the supply and marketing cooperatives play a role in actual use.The cases show that the supply and marketing cooperatives start from the development of grass-roots cooperatives,innovative socialization services and development of equity services to promote the organic integration of small farmers and modern agriculture.Finally,five suggestions for development are put forward:give full play to the basic network advantages of supply and marketing cooperatives to improve the level of organization of small farmers;innovate the service methods of supply and marketing cooperatives for agriculture and promote the moderate scale development of agriculture;promote the training business of supply and marketing cooperatives to improve the development capabilities of small farmers;Modern circulation level,improve the traceability system of agricultural products;standardize the development of rural financial services,improve the difficulty of financing for small farmers.
