Study On The Integration Of Small Farmers Into Modern Agriculture

Since the implementation of family contract responsibility system,small-scale production and operation based on households has become the main form of agricultural production in China.With the continuous development of the economy and society and the deepening of rural reform,Chinese farmers present a diversified character.But small farmers still occupy an important subject and most long-standing,it is the basic unit of rural society.Promoting the development of modern agriculture is a concrete manifestation of China's "synchronization of four modernizations" and one of the inherent requirements of the rural revitalization strategy.It has important practical significance for realizing the development of agriculture and rural areas and building a well-off society in an all-round way.At present,the development of modern agriculture faces high cost and low-yield dilemma.And small farmers have disadvantages in terms of agricultural production and sales,market competitiveness and supporting policies.On the one hand,promoting the integration of small farmers into modern agriculture is conductive to solving the development dilemma faced by small farmers,achieving the organizational level of small farmers,improving the ability to resist risks and dock the market,and expanding the income of small farmers.On the other hand,it can give play to the advantages of small farmers in utilizing natural resources and maintaining the stability of rural society,and to solve the dilemma of modern agricultural development.Exploring the path of small farmers to integrate into modern agriculture has important socio-economic significance.This article is divided into six parts.In the introduction part,the background and the meaning of the topic were explained in detail,and the relevant research literatures at home and overseas were sorted out,and the research ideas,research methods adopted by the research,possible innovations and deficiencies were summarized.The second part summarizes the relevant basic theories and defines the concepts of “small farmers”,“modern agriculture” and “small farmers into modern agriculture” in this study.The third part summarizes the economic nature of small farmers and the behavior and characteristics of smallholders' production and management,and analyzes the small farmers' integration into modern agricultural behavior from the theoretical level.It proposes that small farmers' independent integration into modern agriculture has the main action dilemma and must rely on external forces.The fourth part is aimed at the current dualistic situation of small farmers and modern agriculture,it enumerates and analyzes the four paths of small farmers' integration into modern agriculture: the driving path of agricultural enterprises,the driving path of farmers cooperatives,the driving path of socialized service,the driving path of professional big households and family farms,and describe the status quo,driving ability and defects respectively.Based on the investigation and analysis of Sichuan Province,the fifth part further demonstrates the driving mode and actual driving effect of the four paths.Based on this,the sixth part summarizes the research methods,main viewpoints and conclusions,and proposes countermeasures for small farmers to integrate into modern agriculture from six aspects: basic principles and value orientation,sound legal system,policy system construction,self-enhancement,new agricultural management body service,and social security level.
