Cooperative innovation is of great significance in the implementation of the "innovation-driven development" strategy.Companies carrying out innovation activities alone face high costs and face restrictive factors such as the complexity of technological innovation,market risk,and scarcity of resources.With the advent of the era of knowledge economy,the innovation activities of a single enterprise are gradually transferred to the innovation network of industrial collaborative innovation and multiagent interaction.The emergence of the innovation network can be regarded as an inevitable result.Therefore,research on cooperative innovation in innovation networks is of great significance."Network heterogeneity" is one of the important basic concepts of network structure in social networks with a rich connotation;it is often regarded as knowledge heterogeneity,network member heterogeneity,etc.in the research of innovative networks;in the research of innovation networks,it is often regarded as knowledge heterogeneity,network member heterogeneity,etc.,and the indicators are measured using questionnaires with dimension division;In the field of complex networks,"network heterogeneity" is regarded as an abstract concept depicting the degree of dispersion of complex networks.Scholars have successively proposed and improved the measurement indicators and quantitative methods of "network heterogeneity".In the research of this paper,the index questionnaire method of dividing dimensions has its research limitations,and this paper has made bold explorations and attempts.This paper adopts the mathematical quantification method of "network heterogeneity" in the complex network field to measure the variable "network heterogeneity".The perspective of proximity opens up a new perspective for studying innovation performance in innovation networks.Although multidimensional proximity has achieved some fruitful results in innovation research,there are still some problems and deficiencies in the research.This paper gives its own answers through empirical research,which enriches the research results in the field of proximity.Proximity is an important way to study the development of innovation networks.This paper draws on the life cycle related theories and makes a different division from the enterprise life cycle.From the perspective of proximity,we explore the impact of technological proximity on the performance of cooperative innovation in different stages of the innovation network.Different from the previous four stages of life cycle theory,the germination period,growth period,maturity period,and decline period(period of extinction),In the long run,there is no period of decline or extinction in the life cycle of the innovation network.The periodic changes of the innovation network are similar to the seasonal growth,stability,re-growth,and re-stability cycles.From the perspective of the innovation network,based on the patent cooperation data of the Chinese medical and health industry from 2008 to 2017,this paper separately explores and studies the impact of network heterogeneity and multidimensional proximity on the performance of collaborative innovation,and tests the possible regulatory effects of geographic proximity.In addition,the impact of multidimensional proximity at different stages of the innovation network life cycle on collaborative innovation performance is also examined.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Network heterogeneity has a significant positive impact on collaborative innovation performance and is negatively regulated by geographic proximity.(2)The relationship between technological proximity and collaborative innovation performance is inverted U-shaped,and the regulation effect of geographic proximity is not significant;technological proximity has different effects on cooperative innovation performance at different stages of the innovation network life cycle.(3)The promotion effect of geographic proximity on cooperative innovation performance has not been proven,but the hindrance effect of geographic distance cannot be ignored;geographic proximity has different degrees of impact on cooperative innovation performance at different stages of the innovation network life cycle.Finally,we make recommendations based on findings in a targeted manner,and make scientific outlook on related research on future collaborative innovation.
