In April 2017,the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the 13 th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Construction Industry,which clearly pointed out that the construction industry as one of the national economic pillars is in a stable position,but there are problems such as extensive development,"large but not strong".It also puts forward new requirements for the construction industry development,such as strengthening the innovation,and deepening the reform of system and mechanism.As the main force of construction management,the project management personnel play a vital role in the development of construction industry.How to effectively motivate the project management personnel,mobilise the enthusiasm of theirs,stimulate the awareness of innovation,so that they make every effort to serve the project to improve the project management,is not only a critical but also difficult focus that construction companies need to solve urgently.Taking the Hainan MY Company project management personnel as the research object,the thesis carries out project managers' characteristics and incentive focus,through literature review,questionnaire survey,interview survey and other methods,and using Maslow's need level theory,fair difference threshold theory and other incentive theories.The research also analysed current problems of Haian MY Company's project management incentives and corresponding reasons using the fishbone diagram.The research results show that project managers generally have strong mobility,high work pressure,uneven academic qualifications,and high life pressure,so the incentive focus of project managers should be mainly external,negative and long-term.It can effectively guarantee the implementation incentives,if they are by various and abundant methods,at appropriate strength,under comprehensive coverage and system.The thesis also puts forward suggestions on the optimisation of Hainan MY Company's incentives from the aspects above.It is hoped that the Haian MY Company can really improve the current status of the incentive management of project managers,as well as offers incentive management reference for similar construction companies.
