Research On The Impact Of Enterprise Innovation On The Quality Of Chinese Manufacturing Export Products

With the increasing pressure of global economic development and the slowing growth of international trade,China’s trade environment is facing unprecedented challenges.It is urgent to change the mode of trade development,and change the focus from the expansion of export volume to the upgrading of export quality.From the domestic point of view,in order to match the increasing consumption demand of the domestic people,general secretary Xi Jinping stressed that innovation is the first driving force for development,which puts forward higher requirements for enterprises to strengthen innovation and construction.So can enterprise innovation make the upgrading of export product quality glow with new vitality? The research on innovation and quality of export products in this paper will contribute to the transformation of China’s trade structure and the improvement of export enterprises’ international competitiveness,which is of great significance.First of all,based on the analytical framework of Ková? ?igi?(2014),this paper studies the theoretical relationship between innovation and the quality of export products by constructing a vertical differentiated trade model.Secondly,we measure the quality of innovation and export products and analyze the characteristic facts.From the table,we can see that the quality of export products in China is on the whole slowly rising trend.China has also made great development in innovation input and output,and furtheranalyzed the innovation changes in each region and the export changes in each industry in each region.Then,this paper combines the customs database and the industrial enterprise database,establishes the measurement model including enterprise innovation and export product quality,and begins to test the relationship between enterprise innovation and export product quality.The test results show that,on the whole,enterprise innovation significantly promotes the quality of export products.After the analysis of heterogeneity,the results show that the enhancement of enterprise innovation ability plays a greater role in improving the product quality of processing trade enterprises,enterprises in the eastern region and foreign-funded enterprises,and the improvement of enterprise productivity will also enhance the promotion of innovation factors on product quality.Further research shows that the impact of innovation on the quality of export products is more conducted through intensive effect.The study of this paper provides enlightenment for China to speed up the construction of an innovative country and adjust its foreign trade structure.
