In the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's cities and towns have developed rapidly,and the level of urbanization has been greatly improved compared with the past.China's economic and social construction promotes the development and continuous growth of cities.However,in the process of urbanization,decision-makers boldly promote the improvement of the level of urbanization and regard the expansion of urban scale as the basic pursuit of urban development and planning,which violates the law of urban development and leads to the spatial and scale structure of urban system.Disorder has accumulated a series of contradictions and problems,which has become the bottleneck of hindering the healthy development of cities.Based on the theory of "coupling degree",this study takes the urbanization level and the difference of urban land intensive utilization degree of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration as the main line during the study period,explores the coupling coordination mechanism of the two,reveals the heterogeneous response of the coupling coordination degree to urban development in different periods,and proposes to enhance the coupling.The relevant countermeasures of coordination degree are expected to provide theoretical reference for the rational regulation and control of the coupling and coordination relationship between the two.This study consists of five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,which briefly introduces the research background and significance of urbanization and urban land intensive use,systematically combs the domestic and foreign research results of urbanization,urban land intensive use,and their coupling and coordinated development,and provides theoretical guidance for the article writing.At the same time,this paper establishes the research methods and technical routes.In addition,the basic situation of the research area is introduced from the aspects of natural environment and social economy.The second chapter elaborates the concept and theoretical basis of coupling development between urbanization level and urban land intensive use.It involves urbanization,intensive use of urban land,interaction mechanism,coupling and coordination degree.The third chapter focuses on the evaluation model of coupled coordinated development.Firstly,a composite index system is constructed.The index weight is determined by the entropy method,and the urbanization level and urban land intensive utilization are measured by linear weighted summation.On this basis,coupling degree model,coupling coordinated development degree model,relative development degree model and spatial autocorrelation model are introduced.The fourth chapter is the core chapter of this paper.Based on the urbanization level of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration and the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of urban land intensive use,the internal mechanism of the spatio-temporal evolution of the coupling and coordinated development of the two is discussed.The findings are as follows: 1)During the study period,the urbanization level of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration has been steadily rising;the spatial distribution of urbanization level has a weak dynamic change,showing a pattern of spatial differentiation between East and West High and middle low.(2)The comprehensive score of urban land intensive use in Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration has been steadily improved,and the spatial difference is obvious,which is characterized by the stepped differentiation from inland to coastal areas.(3)The coupling and coordination degree between urbanization level and urban land intensive use system of peninsula urban agglomeration fluctuates,but the spatial agglomeration characteristics between them are not significant.The value of Moran's I index decreased from 0.265 in 1990 to 0.206 in 2015.It shows that the correlation between urbanization level and urban land use intensive coupling coordination degree is weakening.The fifth chapter concludes with a brief summary of the main conclusions of this paper,and points out the shortcomings of this study and the relevant contents that should be focused on in the future.
