Today's world is undergoing a new round of major development,major changes and major adjustments.On the one hand,with the in-depth development of economic globalization,the links between countries have never been so close as they are now,and human beings are increasingly becoming a community with a common future.On the other hand,China's financial industry is also facing a huge impact.It is imperative to vigorously develop international banking business and improve the quality of employees.First of all,this paper defines the concepts of state-owned banks,international business practitioners and capabilities,and studies the basic theories of capability models,including capability theory and quality iceberg theory,maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory and onion theory have laid a theoretical foundation for my research.Chin a's one road,the establishment of a free trade zone,has encouraged more foreign trade enterprises.China's accession to the WTO will face the impact of foreign banks.At the same time,it analyzes the bottleneck of China's banking industry and discusses the necessity of its transformation.As one of its core businesses,the bank's interna tional business plays an important role in the selection and ability improvement of relevant employees.Finally,the importance of establishing competency model for international business employees of state-owned banks is expounded.After studying the competency theory,the author investigated the X branch of Agricultural Bank of China and expounded the current situation of the bank's demand for international business employees,this paper analyzes on the measures and achievements of improveng the competency,and points out the outstanding problems of the competency.Employee ability.After referring to a large number of documents,the author studied the construction of competency theory models at home and abroad,and took X branch of Agricultural Bank of China Limited as an example from the perspective of empirical research.Skillfully using behavioral event interview method,21 backbones who have been engaged in international business for many years were selected for in-depth interviews,17 competency factors were determined,questionnaires were compiled,and descriptive statistical analysis was carried out,reliability test,validity test and main components analyze the collected data to determine the capability model of international business practitioners of state-owned banks.Banks often pay attention to employees' educational background and certificates.The research conclusion of this paper is that the professional knowledge level of employees is only one aspect of being qualified for the position,and there are other abilities: market expansion ability,strong customer awareness,communication and coordination ability and team cooperation ability.On the basis of this model,the author puts forward the applicati on suggestions of this model in recruitment,training,performance evaluation and employee career development planning from the perspective of practice,which enriches the research on the competency of bank personnel.The competency characteristics of international business practitioners in X branch of Agricultural Bank of China are obtained.The data collected from the questionnaire were used to analyze the data to build the model and obtain the results.Finally,the competency model of international business practitioners in state-owned banks is constructed.
