| With long history of Yam(Huaishan)cultivation and consumption in Mingxi county of Fujian province,and being awarded the two national level geographic labeled produces namely ‘the hometown of Yam in China’ and ‘the Protected products registered with geographical indications by the Ministry of Agriculture(Huaishan)’,Mingxi has the geographically and politically exceptional advantages to develop the industrialization of Huaishan.But reality is that it repeatedly encountered obstruction,which motivates the current study.Employing the combination methods of documentation,investigation,questionnaire and focus interview,this study explores the dynamic factors of Huaishan industrializing development.The results are as follows.The motivating factors include highly ecological adaptation to soil property,high productivity and quality of the new bred Huaishan variety,appropriateness of new employed cultivation model,earlier-bird practice of the socializing services;and obstructing factors include high producing cost,low degree of mechanization,low driving capacity of the lead enterprise,insufficient brand construction,the quality of practitioners waiting for improvement and insufficiently using internet technology.Therefore,the author proposes the countermeasures for facilitatingthe industrializing development of Huaishan in Mingxi,which include,firstly to plan the development of Huaishan industry aiming at its long term benefit;secondly to build the infrastructure of Huaishan industry by enlarging the finance investment;thirdly to support the Huaishan leading enterprises for building Huaishan cultivation base;fourthly to improve the production model for disentangling the chain of Huaishan industry;fifthly to set up marketing platform for expanding selling area of Huaishan;and lastly to regulate the talent policy for enhancing the practitioners. |
