Under the background that manufacturing industry is increasingly becoming the commanding point of international economic competition,many small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in China have become a very important development path by embedding world-famous brand OEM into the global manufacturing value chain.The OEM mode of electronic products manufacturing industry is called EMS(electronic manufacturing service),which is the fastest developing OEM field.H company is an EMS benchmarking enterprise in the industry.It works as a OEM for famous brand P customers and is firmly embedded in its global value chain.EMS enterprises have a common way of innovation known as non R & D innovation,which is very important to shape their own unique core competitive advantage and become the focus of management research and practice.China Statistical Yearbook has included non R & D innovation into innovation statistics since 2014.Researcher of this paper participated in the whole process of H company's non R &D innovation.In this paper,H company was studied as a typical EMS success case.The research idea is consistent with the implementation steps of H company's non-r & D innovation: refine the non-r & D innovation elements of H company,analyze the elements,clarify the logical relationship between the elements and the core competitive advantage,build a non-r & D innovation competitive advantage model on this basis,apply the model to practice-H company builds a competitive advantage for P customers,evaluates the effect of the model,and improves the deficiencies.Based on the perspective of non R &D innovation,this paper explores how H company successfully constructs its core competitive advantage.The specific contents include:First of all,based on the literature review of competitive advantage theory and innovation theory,through the observation,research and in-depth interviews with H company,we extract,analyze and summarize the non-r & D innovation elements of successful construction of core competitive advantage of case enterprises.Secondly,clarify the logical relationship between non R & D innovation elements,including entrepreneurship elements,non R & D innovation behavior elements,non R & D innovation guarantee mechanism elements and core competitive advantage.Thirdly,on the basis of the above,the paper puts forward a model of constructing the core competitive advantage of an enterprise with non-r & D innovation,that is,under theinternal drive of entrepreneurship,focusing on the three strategic behaviors of cost,quality and on-time delivery that customers pay attention to,and carrying out a wide range of non-r & D innovation behaviors,such as management innovation,cultural innovation,technological process innovation,introduction of new technology innovation and organizational innovation To build the core competitive advantage of the enterprise.Fourth,model application and evaluation.Through SWOT analysis of H company's advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and risks,combined with this paper to build a model,develop strategies and specific implementation measures,and evaluate the effect.Fifth,in the conclusion and outlook,it is hoped that more people,enterprises and countries will pay more attention and support,and take non R & D innovation as a relatively new theoretical research point in the future for long-term research.This paper closely links the actual operation and management of small and medium-sized EMS enterprises,emphasizes practicality and implementation,and innovatively points out that only focusing on the cost,quality and on-time delivery of three strategic behaviors of customer concern,can non-r & D innovation build the core competitive advantage of enterprises,making up for the limitations of non-r & D innovation focus on model research and performance research.For scholars who are not engaged in the research of R & D innovation theory and competitive advantage theory,as well as small and medium-sized EMS enterprises without R & D and innovation ability,the research results of this paper highlight the theoretical value and practical significance.
