State-owned enterprises,as the backbone of China's national economy,cover key areas such as energy,chemical industry,communications,power,and transportation.Due to the nature and status of state-owned enterprises,corporate social responsibility is its essential attribute and also a real demand.At present,China's state-owned enterprises have achieved certain results in fulfilling their social responsibilities,but there are also many problems.Based on the hot issue of social responsibility,this paper defines the concept of state-owned enterprises and social responsibility by sorting out the current research status at home and abroad.Under the support of stakeholder theory,sustainable development theory,social contract theory and corporate citizenship theory,combined with national policies and regulations and industry development needs,China Datang Group Co.,Ltd.Inner Mongolia Branch is taken as an example to show that state-owned enterprises are performing the work in fulfilling their social responsibilities,and analyze the existing problems.This article believes that state-owned enterprises are inevitable in fulfilling their social responsibilities,and there are differences in the process of fulfillment.To further stimulate the enthusiasm of state-owned enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities requires the participation of the government and all sectors of society.Drawing on domestic and foreign experiences,focusing on reality and a long-term perspective,this article starts with legal construction,incentive measures,enterprises themselves,and diversified supervision,and proposes methods to strengthen the performance of social responsibility of state-owned enterprises for discussion,and further strengthens the ability of state-owned enterprises to perform social responsibility.
