| Agriculture is the foundation of national economy, and the problem of rural economic development has been attracting more and more attention. As the main part of rural finance, rural commercial banks are increasingly taking on the responsibility of serving the rural real economy. However, there are huge regional differences in the development of rural commercial banks in China, and the current research on this is almost blank in China. Most of the existing researches focus on the field of rural finance, and stop at the study of the influencing factors of regional differences, and fail to make further discussion on its formation mechanism. Therefore, this paper studies the regional differences and formation mechanism of the development of rural commercial banks in China, hoping to provide some suggestions for the coordinated development of rural commercial banks in China,in order to better serve the "agriculture, rural areas and farmers".Based on the cross-sectional data of 288 prefecture level cities’ rural commercial banks, this paper studies.First of all,it describes the differences in the development of rural commercial banks in China from multiple dimensions, makes an objective evaluation of the comprehensive development level of each region with the help of entropy method, tests its spatial correlation with exploratory data analysis, and explores the spatial differences of various factors affecting the development of rural commercial banks in China with spatial geographic weighted regression model, and finally sorts out the agricultural development in China The formation mechanism of regional differences in the development of Village commercial banks. The findings are as follows:(1)the development level of rural commercial banks in China is generally low,and there are huge regional differences and obvious faults. The development of rural commercial banks in most areas is in a low-level equilibrium, while the high-level areas are in a centralized and decentralized pattern.Concentrated, mainly in the eastern coastal areas;scattered, mainly in some cities with higher administrative levels.(2)The value of Moran index is 0.685,which indicates that there is a significant positive spatial correlation between the development level of rural commercial banks in China.Among them, there are 47 HH related cities, mainly concentrated in the eastern coastal areas;there are 56 ll related cities, which gather in block shape at the boundary of the central and western regions of China.(3)Government intervention will slightly inhibit the development of rural commercial banks in China.Other indicators, such as economicdevelopment level, market scale, highway density, scientific and technological investment, and human flow, have a positive role in promoting the development of rural commercial banks in China. The strength of the role will be weakened in turn and there are serious spatial differences.(4)This kind of regional difference in the development of rural commercial banks in China comes from the difference of initial conditions in different regions, and then spatial spillover under the effect of echo effect and diffusion effect. However, the boundary effect restricts the cross regional flow of various elements and restricts the bridge effect of regional development. In addition, the regional differences in the development of rural commercial banks in China are also affected by external factors such as government intervention and technological innovation. |
