With the development of China’s economy and the in-depth implementation of the agricultural "going out" strategy,in the context of the rapid development of overseas farmland investment,China’s food security situation is serious, and agricultural enterprises" "going out" strategy in-depth implementationof the background,the2015 Central No.1 document also clearly put forward "to improve the overall utilization of the two international and domestic markets of resources",calling for "urgent development of agricultural external cooperation planning,""innovative agricultural external cooperation model," "support for overseas agricultural cooperation and development," Trade, customs clearance, inspection and quarantine policies." However, due to the factors such as resource endowment, land system, governance policy and natural environment, the scale of overseas arable land investment in different countries will inevitably show different evolutionary characteristics and spatial differences. The spatial pattern of China’s overseas farmland investment and its influencing factors have become an inevitable important topic in China’s foreign direct investment. This paper takes the theory of natural resource endowment and food security theory as the theoretical basis, integrates the concept of overseas farmland investment by the predecessors, and collates the data of Overseas Arable Land investment in China from 2000 to 2017,explores the spatial distribution of China’s current overseas arable land investment and its host country characteristics from an intercontinental perspective, and analyzes the evolution of China’s overseas arable land investment pattern from the perspective of project area and project quantity, using the global spatial self-correlation,local spatial self-correlation and spatial variation function. The results show that the overall spatial pattern of the number of overseas arable land investment projects in China gradually shows a strong trend of positive correlation and then stabilization, while the overall spatial pattern of China’s overseas arable land investment project area fluctuates first and then strengthens and then shows weak spatial correlation; The local spatial pattern of China’s overseas arable land investment project area only shows a large-scale Low-Low concentration area in Africa, and the development of China’s overseas farmland investment in the region shows an unbalanced state.China’s overseas arable land investment is gradually increasing by the influence of the external environment, while in the east to Asia and Oceania and other parts of the large-scale project number of "highland" aggregation, while in the west to Africa, the Americas and other regions, although there are fluctuations, but still in a lower state, and in the project area, although the peak of concentration before 2012,but after 2012 with China to explore large-scale investment model,The number of project smaller and more balanced projects worldwide is increasing. Then, based on the previous research, based on the availability and lag of data, through the establishment of the index database of overseas farmland investment factors, and through OLS model,SLM model and SEM model respectively, the results show that:China’s overseas arable land investment projects in terms of the number of resource-rich,that is,agricultural land area, the per capita arable land area and temperature change standard smaller,Social development has the least impact on China’s overseas arable land investment, and China is only concerned with its labor participation rate.Areas with high political globalization indices in the political environment tend to restrict China’s investment in overseas farmland, and under the influence of economic development,China is more likely to invest in overseas farmland in areas with high export value indices and high GNI but low agricultural value added.China’s overseas arable land investment projects tend to invest heavily in countries with high grain yields, low political globalization index and low regulatory quality, strong discourse accountability, trade globalization index and high GNI.
