With the shareholding reform of large commercial Banks and the restructuring of urban commercial Banks and rural commercial Banks,foreign Banks have fully entered China's financial market.Branches of various kinds of Banks are springing up and developing all over the country.The competition situation in China's banking industry is becoming increasingly fierce.In such a highly market-oriented and homogeneous competitive relationship,how to possess and maintain their own core competitive advantages is a subject that all banking institutions should continue to think about.If a bank wants to maintain its competitive advantage,it needs to formulate a strategic plan with clear positioning and objectives,establish a professional and efficient execution team,and set up a performance management system that can link organizational strategies and promote the sustainable development of the whole bank.Therefore,how to fully consider the industry development trend and external environment,optimize internal management,reduce cost and increase efficiency,and formulate the performance management plan in line with the bank strategy scientifically and reasonably has become an urgent problem to be solved by most banks.Based on the business development speed and asset quality,we choose H sub-branch of G bank,a national joint-stock commercial bank,as the research object.Combined with the theory and practical operation method of balanced scorecard,this paper analyzes,summarizes and improves several problems existing in the current performance management of H branch,and finally designs a more perfect performance management improvement plan.This paper discusses how to ensure the smooth implementation of the balanced scorecard based performance management plan,so as to achieve the coordinated strategic development of performance objectives and improve the competitive advantage and sustainable development ability of the H branch of G bank.
