| With the deepening of international division of labor and cooperation, the world economy has entered the era of global value chains.Since the reform and opening up,especially after joining the WTO,the degree of participation of Chinese enterprises in the global value chains has deepened, the strength of enterprises in the" learning by doing " and participation in the global competition has been continuously enhanced. At the same time,China is also one of the countries experiencing serious global trade barriers currently, especially encountered anti-dumping barriers as the most, which has brought strong resistance to the development of enterprises.Studying the impact of anti-dumping barriers on the development of Chinese export enterprises under the background of global value chains has great significance to the formulation of effective anti-dumping barrier avoidance measures and the upgrading of enterprises in the global value chains.Based on combing relevant theories and literature, this article makes a statistical analysis of China’s participation in the global value chains and the situation of anti-dumping trade barriers, and then takes Chinese export enterprises which have encountered foreign anti-dumping investigations from 2001 to 2007 as the object, from the dimension of global value chain participation, using the fixed-effect model to study the impact of anti-dumping barriers on Chinese export enterprises’productivity.First of all,use the stepwise regression method to analyze the impact of global value chain participation and anti-dumping on Chinese export enterprises’productivity from a holistic perspective, and use the level of global value chain participation as a standard to group sample enterprises to explore the impact of anti-dumping barriers on Chinese export enterprises’productivity from the perspective of value chain heterogeneity.Secondly,we add anti-dumping lag variables to examine the long-term effect of anti-dumping on Chinese export enterprises’productivity from the perspective of global value chains. Finally, the interaction terms between variables are added to the original basic model to explore the differences in the impact of anti-dumping on heterogeneous enterprises from the perspective of global value chains. The research shows:(1)Chinese manufacturing industry has a“low-end locking" phenomenon in the value chains, and also faces a large number of anti-dumping cases and involves a wide range of products.(2)Participation in global value chains is conducive to improving the Chinese export enterprises’ productivity, and the impact of anti-dumping on Chinese export enterprises’productivity varies under different levels of global value chain participation.(3)From the perspective of global value chains,anti-dumping has positive excitation effect on the productivity of export enterprises, and the inhibition effect appears in the year after the anti-dumping.Both the size of enterprises and the rate of return on assets have a significant positive impact on the productivity of export enterprises. The relationship between the age of enterprises and the productivity of export enterprises has an "inverted U-shape",while capital intensity has a significant negative impact on the productivity of export enterprises.(4)Anti-dumping has no long-term impact on the Chinese export enterprises’ productivity from the perspective of global value chains.(5)There are heterogeneous differences in the impact of anti-dumping trade barriers on Chinese export enterprises’productivity in the perspective of global value chains, which is mainly reflected in the aspect of enterprise size. Finally, combined with the conclusions, the corresponding policy recommendations are proposed to provide a reference for the transformation and upgrading of enterprises and industries, which will also contribute to maintain the competitive advantages of domestic enterprises, improve Chinese international status, and promote the development of the economy steadily. |
