An Empirical Analysis Of The Import Dual Margin Of Chinese Anti-dumping Actions

With the prevalence of non-tariff barriers in the world,China,as a country that has been frequently sued by developed countries in recent years,has gradually taken anti-dumping as a means of protection to protect its own interests.At present,China's foreign anti-dumping policy orientation should coordinate the relationship between macro-economy,micro industry and enterprises,keep up with the development trend of the world economic situation,so as to effectively safeguard China's economic interests.This paper focuses on the impact of China's anti-dumping measures on China's import binary margin.This paper starts from the analysis of China's anti-dumping cases in 2000-2015,and analyzes the characteristics of China's anti-dumping cases in various aspects from the perspective of country,time,settlement and tax rate.Based on the new trade theory,this paper divides the import trade flow and the number of trade items into the realization of trade intensive margin and expansion margin.According to the relevant data of anti-dumping cases initiated by China from 2000 to 2015,we take the import intensive margin and expansion margin of China as explanatory variables respectively,take tariff,GDP,WTO and FTA as control variables,and use the anti-dumping tax as the core explanatory variables to make the trade intensive marginal regression and expansion marginal regression respectively.We find that China's foreign anti-dumping makes China's import binary frontier However,the inhibition effect of China's antidumping measures on import expansion margin is greater than that on import intensive margin.Finally,this paper puts forward the relevant conclusions and policy recommendations,which will help our country to use foreign anti-dumping as a weapon to protect the national economic interests,and promote the domestic related import enterprises to judge the situation and flexibly use relevant policies to protect their own trade security.
