Intensive land use is an inevitable requirement for implementing the scientific outlook on development and building a thrifty and intensive society. As an important field of urban industrial industry and economic development.industrial enterprises in the zone are numerous, the land use of enterprises is complex, and there are significant differences in the degree of intensive land use.The evaluation of intensive use of industrial land can directly reflect the level of intensive use of industrial land in the development zone and provides reference basis for land resource allocation optimization and sustainable development of the development zone. With eight national-class Economic and Technical Development Zones of Suzhou as research objectives, the article conbines theoretical and practical researches of scholars at home and abroad as well as self-assessment results in these zones to set up an assessment system containing situation of land utilization.economic benefits of land utilization, and other four indices. The intensive land use in the eight Economic and Technical Development Zones surveyed can be calculated by a mixture of multi-factor comprehensive assessment and entrop method. The eight zones can be divided into four rates according to Jenks Natural Breaks Method:two zones with highly-intensive use:two with medium intensive use;three with ordinarily intensive use;one with low-efficient use.Among them.Kunshan Economic and Technical Development Zone enjoys the highest intensive land use,at 0.222070665,while Wuzhong Economic and Technical Development Zone has the lowest intensive land use,at 0.028705109.The wide difference of intensive land use between the zones indicates a huge potential for land exploitation. From the perspectives of companies, industries, the Development Zones and regions.we can easily find out key factors that affect the level of intensive land use,To be specific, there are influential factors, such as the economic benefits and the intensity of companies' land use in the zones, types and leading industries and production modes in the zones, location of the zones and social economy of the area/region the zones are settled in,while the life span of the zones and the number of companies in the zones have little impact on the level of intensive land use. With the analysis above, industrial companies should add capital, get more technical support and improve land use modes by combining Resources Allocation Theory and Industry,Cluster Theory,so that they can strengthen interconnection for growth along the industrial chain:the zones should continue to optimize construction of supporting facilities, activate reserved land.make regular assessment of intensive land use.and analyze the level of intensive land use dynamically.
