The deepening of economic globalization has promoted the division of labor in the global value chain. In the global value chain division of labor, developing countries have obtained certain trade profits and knowledge spillovers, but are generally in a low position and are in danger of being "low-end locked" by developed countries. As the world’s largest developing country,China urgently needs to upgrade its manufacturing industry from the perspective of global value chain With the proposal and promotion of "One Belt And One Road" strategy, yunnan province,as a bridgehead open to asean, faces both difficulties and opportunities in how to make use of geographical, resource and policy advantages to realize the upgrading of local manufacturing industry while integrating into the global value chain system.Under such international and domestic background, this paper, taking yunnan province as an example, attempts to discuss the factors affecting the industrial upgrading of manufacturing industry in detail through international comparative analysis, theoretical summary, model derivation and econometric regression analysis Therefore, the study of this paper will have important theoretical significance and practical value. The first chapter introduces the research background and significance of this paper, and illustrates the research contents, methods, possible innovations and shortcomings. The second chapter summarizes the relevant literature from five aspects. The third chapter makes a judgment on the development status and international status of the manufacturing industry in yunnan province through data analysis and calculation of the competitiveness index and horizontal division index of the manufacturing industry. In chapter 4,the paper constructs the influencing factor system of manufacturing upgrading in yunnan province under the global value, selects endogenous and exogenous factors such as human resources, technical capacity, international trade, and policy system, and further explains the scientific and rational selection of variables by constructing mathematical models. In the fifth chapter, based on the theoretical model, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the factors influencing the upgrading of the manufacturing industry in yunnan province under the global value chain from the perspectives of the whole manufacturing industry and the sub-industries.The empirical results show that, from an overall perspective,high-level human capital, scientific research input and fixed asset investment have a positive impact on the manufacturing upgrading of yunnan province under the global value chain, while international trade has a negative impact, and producer services are not significant. From the perspective of different industries, fixed asset investment promotes the upgrading of labor-intensive manufacturing industry in yunnan province under GVCS,and advanced human capital,r&d efforts and fixed asset investment promote the upgrading of capital-intensive manufacturing industry in yunnan province under GVCS.R&d efforts promote the upgrading of technology-intensive manufacturing industry in yunnan province under GVCS.Finally, chapter six puts forward three countermeasures and Suggestions:to undertake the transfer of middle and high-end industries, introduce high-quality investment, and drive industrial upgrading with scientific and technological innovation;Attract high-end scientific and technological talents, cultivate skilled labor force,"internal training and external introduction" to promote the transformation of the human capital structure of the manufacturing industry to a higher level; We should accelerate the development of producer services and develop regional value chains based on geographical advantages.
