Empirical Analysis Of Online-bank Adoption And The Performance Of Business Bank

This paper focuses on the influence of online bank adoption on the performance of business banks,and then,we discussed the relationship between online bank and traditional business bank.This paper discussed the problem by using empirical analysis,after that,we put forward some policy suggestions for the development of online bank,Internet banking and digital currency on the basis of our conclusion.We discussed the current development situation and mainly existing problems of online-bank in China,and analyzed the main factors that restrict the development of online-bank.After that,we discussed the the competition between online-bank and other kind of internet finance.Second,we discussed the mechanism that online-bank improve the performance of business bank,and wether the online-bank substitute or complete with business bank.At last,we expanded the sample size to 101 major commercial banks of China,established a multiple linear regression model by using panel data of our sample,and discussed the relationship between online bank adoption and the performance of business bank,after that,we discussed whether online bank substituted the branches of traditional bank.Our study found that:online bank can improve the performance of business bank after two years of online bank adoption;compared to state-owned commercial banks,city commercial bank improved its performance faster,but the scale effect for state-owned commercial bank is more obvious;online bank improved the performance of business bank mainly by increasing the income of intermediate business;online bank played as a role of complementary rather than substitute relationship to traditional banks.Finally,we put forward lots of reasonable suggestions for the development of online-bank on the basis of the conclusions of this paper,as well as the analysis of current situation of the development of online-bank of China.
